i'd rather play records than break them

nd really does strive to not post information or images that spread like wildfire through the blogosphere. nothing is more uninteresting, disappointing even, than redundancy. it's like a joke told twice. sometimes it's easy to draw the line, like yesterday when i watched david after dentist about 6 times, but knew that it would never find a home on nd (i'm not even going to link to it to make this point, the way things move these days by now ben silverman is probably hatching a pilot based on it). other times when i want to embed something from pitchfork it feels too obvious, but i'll make a concession for anything in any way relevant to the gbear clan. anyway... this is all an excuse for posting the following reimaginings of classic video games as vintage novels. they just touch upon too many things i love to not enter the novel designs canon, so i can get over the fact i first saw them on notcot. check out all sorts of coolnes at oily moss .
