i've been familiar with the muslims for a total of about twelve hours and they're all i want to listen to until the next thing comes along. the sound is somewhere between the modern lovers, the pixies, joy division, the walkmen and the velvet underground via bruce mccullough's "these are the daves i know" (i may as well compare them to pavement and the beatles, i know). here's their video for extinction. they're playing la cita on the twenty seventh and pehrspace on the thirtieth.
